About The Missing Village NFP
Our Vision
The Missing Village, is a non-profit initiative aimed at providing essential support to mothers within our community. Recognizing the challenges faced by mothers in balancing their responsibilities, we aim to bridge the gaps in support systems and create a nurturing environment for both mothers and their children.
Our Approach
The Village" seeks to address multiple needs of mothers, including after-school transportation and last-minute childcare. We propose implementing a system of background-checked parents within the same school district who can assist with after-school rides for children, ensuring their safe and reliable transportation. These parents would also be available for up to 3 hours a day to provide emergency childcare, catering to unexpected situations that mothers may face, such as running late or encountering unforeseen circumstances. Furthermore, we envision "The Missing Village" as a resource that mothers can rely on for day-to-day assistance. This would include an assistant who can provide support through calls or texts, helping mothers manage various aspects of their lives, including scheduling doctor's appointments, pick-up and drop-off reminders, organizing events, running errands, and more. By addressing these everyday challenges, we aim to alleviate stress and enhance the overall well-being of mothers within our community. In addition to supporting mothers, "The Missing Village" will create remote job opportunities for parents. This initiative recognizes the importance of providing flexible employment options that align with the responsibilities of parenthood. By offering remote positions, we aim to empower parents to contribute to their household income while still being available for their children's needs.
